During college lifes, most of students would have at least a job for their own needs could be a server, crew member, cashier, etc.

I am currently having a part-time job at McDonald's while being a full-time student in order to earn more money for livings. After working as a McDonald's for a while, I found out there are a lot of meaningful life lessons that help me to updated myself and prepare for my future careers.

These are 6 life lessons that I highly value at work:

  1. Connecting with the others make things perfect. It will help your tasks completed quickly and effectively rather than doing all of it by yourself, especially when it comes to rush hours that everything is need to be done immediately.

  2. It is OK to make mistakes. It is the opportunity to realize our weaknesses, and grow from it. Remeber that nobody is perfect.

  3. Being unstoppable until the work is done. Focus on what need to be done at the moment first. You will get free after a long working shift so that you can do whatever you want. Also, a paycheck is your reward for your hard-working, and dedicated.

  4. Maintain a positive attitude. Life does happen unexpectedly somtimes. Remeber that bad things happen only in a short period of time, not an entire life. Embarce it, learn from it, and grow from it.

  5. Do not understimate yourself. Having a minimum wage per hour does not define yourself as a useless person. Every job require to be hard-working, responsible, self-discliped, Ignore all of the negative views from the others. They do not see how stressful you are.

  6. Value your self-esteem. Do you feel motivated and empowered when you completed your goals smoothly and sucessfully? You should be proud of yourself, as you are the reason why the company or workplace is still maintaining a good reputation.

These are life lessons that I have taken them significantly to update myself in my college life, and so on my adulthood. Even though having a job while in schools offer many beneficals, keep in mind that school is still the top priority where you are growth before anything else. Therefore, do not let working burden your studying, or you will regret later on!
